Exeter Hospital gained a competitive advantage as the result of a regional and national PR campaign that enhanced the hospital’s reputation and brought awareness to its services and community outreach programs.
The New Hampshire hospital’s physicians were featured in Tennis Magazine, Ladies’ HomeJournal, New Hampshire Magazine, and many other high-profile media outlets that attracted patients to the hospital and its subsidiaries. The hospital also successfully recruited physicians in cutting-edge specialties. And a KOGS PR campaign led to enrolling more patients in an NIH-funded virtual colonoscopy study at little Exeter Hospital than all the other study sites combined – giants Duke, University of Chicago and the University of California-San Francisco. Exeter Hospital also won a hard-fought two-year battle among four competing hospitals for the area’s only radiation oncology center.
